Memorial Brazilian Jiu Jitsu School, with the goal of spreading the love for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), has been successfully teaching this martial art the gentle way for the last five years. The head coach, Jackson Fortunato, had a vision of spreading his knowledge of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu among people of all ages. He began in London, UK after completing his Graduation in Physical Education. His BJJ school soon became one of the most successful BJJ schools in the UK.

After successfully expanding the gentle art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu around all of Europe, he planned to start a new journey and moved to Houston to give self defense classes in Houston. He opened The Memorial Brazilian Jiu Jitsu School along with Jose Henrique Leao Teixeira Filho (Master), and Rafael Castillo (Manager). The love of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is common among these three.

Future Champ Program is for kids between 5-8 years of age
Kids at this age learn BJJ Houston in a playful way at the school. The games and activities are specially designed for kids at this Houston Jiu Jitsu school so that they learn while they play.

Juniors Empowered Program is for children between 9-13 years of age
Cases of bullying are rising and children of this age group are more prone to bullying that’s why they need the self defense classes in Houston. These classes teach them about self-defense techniques they can use in the case they are attacked. BJJ isn’t a violent art, it’s a gentle art and children of this age need this art so that they can control the situation which involves ground fights.

Adult Fundamental Program is for Adults
People with no prior experience in any form of martial arts can also join this program and start learning the basic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques. After the completion of the session, you can earn BJJ Blue Belt.

Women’s Empowerment Class is specially designed for Women
The specially designed program for women teaches them to defend the 15 most common attacks. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a skill-based art. You can improve your skills even if you are a weaker, smaller or thinner person.
